It's getting to the point where it may be cheaper to take public transportation than to drive.
The government and the experts are saying that the price of gas has peaked and we shouldn't expect higher pricing but I'm not so sure. Either way I don't expect these prices to drop as quickly as they rose.
Now that the oil companies see that the public will pay that price anyway I think they'll drop the prices to about $2.75 and leave it there. Their profits will rise and they'll be happy and spend enough cash through lobbying to keep them that way.
Maybe that's a jaded way of looking at it but I don't see anything brighter coming our way. The cost of living is getting ridiculously overpriced. Maybe it's time to look for a simpler way of life and leave the city.
