We popped in a DVD called Sherlock: A Case of Evil. As if you couldn't guess it was a Sherlock Holmes movie.
It starred James D'arcy as Sherlock and Vincent Donofrio as Moriarity. I thought that Donofrio was Sherlock in the description on Netflix but I was wrong.
It had Sherlock older than Young Sherlock Holmes but younger than Basil Rathbone. It portrayed Sherlock as a playboy of sorts and a publicity shill as well. Donofrio was a flamboyant Moriarity with a nice stamp of archvillian making him a good choice as the bad guy.
It was an interesting take on an old subject. And it had a nice touch of resonance to modern topics as well.
Overall I enjoyed it.
But then again, I have very few expectations when I watch movies.
